Sugar industry wastewater generally contains organic matter and sugar, with high content of COD and BOD. The wastewater has deep chroma and high content of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, which mainly from chute wastewater, sugar wastewater, distillation wastewater and washing water. 

Working process:

UASB:
The wastewater enters the cell by the water distributor, passing through the sludge layer and the sludge suspension layer, reacting with anaerobic microorganisms to produce biogas. Then the solid, liquid, and gas mixture using the separator to achive three-phase separation. After that, sludge will fall back to the sludge suspension zone, and the treated water will be discharged, the produced biogas will be recycled.

SBR: 
Sequencing batch reactor, the system is in intermittent sequential arrangement during the operating, it is divided into 5 stages: influent, reaction, precipitation, effluent, downtime.
Advantages: Simple process, low operating cost.
                     Biochemical reaction has large thrust and high efficiency.
                     Removes the nitrogen and phosphorus efficiently.
                     Avoid the sludge swelling
